The hushbaby Dream

ABOUT ME
My name is Devin, let me tell you a little bit about me.
In September of 2020, I had my little guy who is the light of my world. One thing that I realized very quickly was how impractical most baby clothes are. My son would constantly go through so many outfits as he would drool or spit up and the bibs I had received as gifts just didn’t cut it. They would twist, come off or he would have them in his mouth. That is when I thought, why not have a bib that attaches to a suit. That is when I thought of hushbaby. A play suit where the bib attaches so it catches what it is intended to catch. Along with the practicality of the bib. Another feature I knew I had to have were hand and feet coverings. Baby socks are so impractical, that is when they stay on! Foot coverings allow for your little one to go barefoot or have the security of socks from the suit itself. I decided to branch out and start my business off of a need that I realized many had when I became a mom.
THE BACKSTORY
When the idea of hushbaby came to light
During my pregnancy, I was part of a due date group, where moms with babies born in the same month could discuss the ins and outs of being a mom. A few moms in the group had little ones who required special care, such as feeding tubes and port access, and were quick to express the need for baby clothing that was accessible for them. I knew right then that helping this special group of superhero babies was something I wanted to do, and do right. With the guidance of a medical professional, I found out the necessities needed for baby clothing and got to work on sketches. I am thrilled that my suit does not discriminate from this group of babies. It can be used and loved by all!
